By the end of the year a specialized Rehabilitation Center for the ATO participants will work in Volyn. This was stated during the meeting with the heads of regional medical institutions, combatants in the east of Ukraine and representatives of Lutsk city authorities, by the head of Volyn Regional Council Ihor Palytsya.
“We will work overall with ATO participants in the hospital for the disabled persons, where we will be implementing a big project next year. Some work has already been done in this direction. In the regional hospital in Bogolyuby the department of physical and post-operative rehabilitation will be completed,” said Ihor Palytsya.
Currently the profile center in Bogolyuby is 70-80% ready.
“There are spacious corridors, modern equipment, there is a sauna, swimming pool, large territory, fresh air and wood,” said Ivan Sydor, head of Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital.
The funds for equipping the profile center were allocated at the extraordinary session of Lutsk City Council. Five million hryvnias from the city budget were spent on construction works and the purchase of specialized equipment.
According to Ihor Palytsya, local authorities will finance work completion in July-August this year during redistribution of funds from over-execution of the budget. In addition, full psychological and psychiatric rehabilitation of ATO participants will be carried out at Lutsk Center for Primary Health Care.
As it is known, in Lutsk, the program for rehabilitation of ATO participants, which provides for medical and psychological support in the inter-hospital period, as well as assistance to those who do not have injuries, but requires the use of preventive measures for the early detection of musculoskeletal system diseases, was approved. At Lutsk Center for Primary Health Care a department for the demobilized ATO participants was established last year.
