President Petro Poroshenko buys the immunity from international criminal prosecution for the money of the Ukrainians. This was stated by the MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy on the air of the NewsOne TV channel.
“In order not to have any corruption scandal in the US and Europe, Petro Poroshenko travels there and buys his immunity at the expense of the Ukrainian taxpayers,” stated the MP.
According to him, the head of state should be accountable for a number of corruption frauds. The subject of the investigation should be, for example, the purchase of low-quality coal from Pennsylvania (USA) at overestimated price.
“Coal from Pennsylvania is expensive, we overpay 20% for it. The initial batch came for 80 million dollars. Of course, Poroshenko gave instruction to his partner Akhmetov, and he bought it,” said the UKROP member.
Similarly, the president should face trial for refusing to impose martial law in the territory of the occupied Donbas.
“Not imposing martial law by Petro Poroshenko is a huge crime. It should not have been imposed throughout Ukraine, but only in the occupied regions,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.
At the same time, he has noted that the head of state intentionally refused to ratify the Rome Statute, despite the commitments that Ukraine had assumed. At one time, Petro Poroshenko personally instructed the representatives of his faction not to vote for the approval of a document that would allow condemning war criminals in Donbas, including Russian officers.
“Poroshenko has an agreement with Putin on preventing any investigation. When the Hague Tribunal begins an investigation, they have no limitation period. A person can be condemned even in 90 years. This is a very powerful tool for protecting Ukraine,” said the representative of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots”.
The MP has noted that he had appealed to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau with a request to investigate the facts that testify organization of Poroshenko’s international meetings for money.
