Almost all political parties that have got the leading positions in the elections in the united territorial communities on April 29 were engaged in mass bribing of voters. This was stated during the meeting with the heads of regional, republican in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Kyiv city organizations of UKROP by the head of the party, MP Taras Batenko.
“For us, these elections were not easy. UKROP is the only party among the six leading political forces that did not bribe voters. We should be proud of this,” said Taras Batenko.
Together with bribing, the increasing number of violations is recorded during campaigns and voting. Thus, in the last elections in the UTC, pro-government candidates in almost all regions descend to the use of administrative resource. Not to mention the pressure upon the opposition. There were the attempts to intimidate the candidates from UKROP or to lure them away to the other political forces. Somewhere purposeful dirty PR campaigns were deployed against the UKROP members.
“Every four days large-format colored newspapers were issued, which were not even distributed, but simply thrown about in the UTC. People were given leaflets without any initial data that were directed against our candidate and UKROP in general,” said Serhiy Solovey, the chairman of Poltava regional organization of UKROP.
Despite such a pressure and artificially created barriers, UKROP will not go into dirty technologies. The party will continue to get voters’ support for the human potential, and not blackmailing and bribery.
“Unlike other parliamentary parties, the participants of the election race, the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” is not financed from the state budget. Instead, we are the first among all political forces in terms of contributions from Ukrainians. The most valuable resources of UKROP are people and the truth,” said Taras Batenko.
