The Ukrainian authorities are not interested in overcoming poverty of the population, since poor people are easier to be manipulated. This was written by the head of UKROP, MP Taras Batenko on his Facebook page.
According to him, such a conclusion can be made on the results of the sixth wave of local elections that took place on April 29. As an unprecedented high level of bribery of the population was observed. Now this tool is perhaps the most popular in the range of political parties.
“We were witnessing this situation almost in every region where the elections took place. UKROP was not engaged and will never be engaged in such a shameful practice,” said Taras Batenko.
The UKROP member is convinced that only the economic growth, fair distribution of benefits in society and providing every citizen of the state with the opportunity to earn decent remuneration guarantee that Ukraine will develop democratically and the authorities will be elected in a democratic way.
At the same time, the head of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” has noted that the authorities are step by step destroying their own reform, which they call the most successful: “The first step: the President and his representatives slowed down the process of uniting communities, where the support of the BPP was very low even despite administrative pressure”.
The second step is the “voluntary” compilation of candidates from the presidential party and simultaneous pressure on the representatives of the opposition parties at the stage of nomination.
As the third step Taras Batenko has called “cementing” of the already distorted result by the administrative resource during the period of campaigning and the election day: “This manual control minimizes the very essence of decentralization! And everything is made in order to create illusion of people’s support and a high rating of the President!”
