Today 371 candidates from UKROP are taking part in the first elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils in the united territorial communities in 17 regions of Ukraine.
The political force has delegated six candidates for the heads of the UTC – two in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovograd regions, and one in Zaporizhia and Poltava.
Another 365 UKROP members are running for deputies’ seats. The largest number of UKROP candidates is registered in Dnipropetrovsk region. The political force has delegated 70 representatives to the local UTC in this region. Another 42 candidates take part in the elections in Chernivtsi, 36 in Kharkiv, 33 in Rivne and 28 in Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
In addition, the candidates from UKROP run for positions of headmen in Cherkasy region.
On April 29, the first elections of deputies of village, town and city councils of united territorial communities and corresponding village, town and city mayors take place in 40 UTC. These communities include 133 local councils, of which 113 are rural, 16 are town and 4 are city councils.
After the current elections, the total number of the first elections in the UTC appointed by the CEC will be 707.
According to the results of local elections in 2017, UKROP became one of the five leaders among the political parties that received the greatest support from voters in the united territorial communities.
