The MP from UKROP, Vitaliy Kupriy, initiates the creation of a temporary investigative commission (TIC) in the Verkhovna Rada on alleged corruption crimes of the President Petro Poroshenko. The parliamentarian wrote this on his Facebook page.

According to him, the MPs should conduct an independent investigation on the basis of audio records, which were published by the MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.

“I initiate the creation of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada – TIC – on investigation of Poroshenko’s corruption crimes on the basis of Onyschenko’s recordings! Parliament should give a rigorous legal assessment of presidential arbitrariness and corruption!” said Vitaliy Kupriy.

This concerns the recently published audio recording of the conversations of Onyshchenko and Poroshenko with the former Minister of Ecology Mykola Zlochevsky. The President agreed to stop the criminal proceedings against Yanukovych’s official in exchange for his assets and a hundred-million-dollar bribe. Another ten million “fell into the pocket” of Poroshenko’s close associate MP Ihor Kononenko.

Previously, Onyshchenko also said that the head of state was involved in the raider seizure of the group of companies “BRSM-nafta”. Then a large-scale technogeneous disaster at the gas station led to the death of six people.

“These facts, if they are confirmed, will have significant negative consequences for the political situation in Ukraine and have already gained wide resonance. Therefore, I believe that the delay in investigating these cases by the law-enforcers is unacceptable!” said the UKROP member.

The MP has noted that he had already sent letters to all the heads of parliamentary factions with a proposal to choose their representatives in the TIC. At the same time, Vitaliy Kupriy declared his readiness to personally head the investigation commission.

“In this situation the MPs are also obliged to fulfill the role of the Verkhovna Rada on parliamentary control and to investigate the available materials and circumstances, and in the end to provide their own report on this situation,” said the representative of UKROP.
