President Poroshenko betrayed the ideals of the Revolution of Dignity, thanks to which he once came to power. This was stated during a press briefing in the Verkhovna Rada by an MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy.
“President Poroshenko sold out Ukraine, sold the achievements of the Revolution of Dignity. He has been engaged in this since his first day in power,” said the MP.
According to him, the President is not going to prosecute the perpetrators from the nearest environment of Viktor Yanukovych. Instead, the current head of state tries to recapture the plundered fortunes of the former officials. Not so long ago, law enforcement officers closed all criminal cases against former Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mykola Zlochevsky.
“The authorities do not persecute the perpetrators, but are trying to take away the loot. Therefore, neither the killers of the Heavenly Hundred nor those who caused this tragedy have been punished yet,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.
At the same time, he noted that it is useless to rely on Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. None of the law enforcement bodies reacted to Petro Poroshenko’s being charged of involvement in setting fire to BRSM oil depot in the summer of 2015. Then the tragedy took the lives of six people.
“In any civilized country, law enforcement agencies would have to open criminal cases after such statements. The president would be removed from office through the procedure of impeachment. Unfortunately, in Ukraine there is no such tradition,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.
