The MPs from the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” in March topped the list of the most active non-factional parliamentarians. This is evidenced by the results of the research of the analytical portal “Slovo i Dilo”.
Thus, in March, the UKROP members have registered in the Verkhovna Rada the most legislative initiatives among the lawmakers who are not members of any faction. At the same time, the MP Valentyn Didych has left behind all his colleagues in Parliament, including the factional ones.
“Among the non-factional parliamentarians, Valentyn Didych (10 bills), Taras Batenko and Viktor Shevchenko (8) were the most active in the legislative activities,” analyzes the portal.
In particular, the UKROP members offered to allow import of cars into Ukraine in the form of humanitarian aid from foreign donors. The relevant initiative is envisaged by the bill No. 8130 “On amendments to some Laws of Ukraine bringing the legislation on humanitarian assistance in line with modern conditions and new social challenges”.
In addition, the MPs submitted for consideration of Parliament a bill No. 8208 “On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and certain legislative acts of Ukraine stimulating the vehicle market development.” The document should introduce a single fee of 500 euros for the import of new and used cars that have got the age of no more than ten years.
“This bill should finally establish social justice in the market of automobile transport. The state should not care about the rich, but about all people,” said co-author of the bill, MP Oleksandr Shevchenko.
Besides, the MPs from UKROP propose to limit budget subsidies to large agro holdings and direct them to support small and medium-sized agricultural producers. This is stipulated by the bill No. 8182 “On amendments to Article 18 of the “Final Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On state support of agriculture in Ukraine” improving justice in the issue of state support for the animal farming.”
“The authorities do not cease to split up public funds using the old “schemes”. Distribution of subsidies in support of producers of agricultural products cannot be called with other words. The state subsidies of the agro oligarch Kosyuk in 2017 exceeded the total amount of preferential loans to farmers by 20 times,” said the head of UKROP Taras Batenko.
Also the UKROP called on to strengthen economic sanctions against the aggressor country. The draft bill No. 8117 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” preventing foreign military aggression against Ukraine” provides for a total prohibition to conduct Russian business in the territory of our state.
Another initiative of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” involves raising pensions to citizens who have more than forty years of insurance experience. The draft bill No. 8187 “On amendments to Article 25 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance” concerning the proper provision of pensions to persons who have 40 or more years of insurance experience” is directed for consideration of the profile committee.
According to the portal “Slovo i Dilo”, in total during March 117 bills have been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
