The Ukrainian government has pathetically stated today about the termination of the program of economic cooperation with Russia. However, this should have happened on the fifth day of the war, and not on its fifth year. The head of UKROP, MP Taras Batenko has written this on his Facebook page.
“The question is – why is it just about economic cooperation? Don’t the authorities see how the enemy is stabbing us in the back, as in Ukraine, deep in the rear, the propagandists of Rossotrudnichestvo and the agents of the Russian secret services are operating, being covered by diplomatic certificates? All of them should to be kicked out! Decisively and efficiently! The country does not need another fiction!” stressed the parliamentarian.
At the same time, he noted that the MPs from UKROP had repeatedly demanded to stop cooperation with Russia in all spheres: “Because we cannot hold the enemy by throat, introducing half-sanctions.”
According to Taras Batenko, Russia can be brought to its knees only by real actions, not empty phrase. It is necessary to prohibit Russian business in Ukraine, to close the diplomatic institutions of the aggressor and finally mark a decisive end to the “bloody trade”.
To this end, the UKROP members have developed a draft law No. 8117 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” on the prevention of foreign military aggression against Ukraine”. The document proposes to completely prohibit the activities of Russian enterprises in Ukraine. Besides, foreign companies, among the founders of which are the residents of the Russian Federation, should be also included in the sanction list.
