The representatives of UKROP are deeply concerned about the issue of pension recalculation for the military pensioners and law enforcers. The political force hopes that in the near future a comprehensive and balanced bill will be presented to the parliament, which will unite the MPs and restore justice in payments for military pensioners. This was stated by the chairman of the political council of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots”, MP Taras Batenko.
“We understand that by delaying fair payments, the government hopes to shift responsibility for the failure to implement their “initiative” to the next Cabinet of Ministers,” said Taras Batenko.
The parliamentarian has reminded that on February 19, the UKROP party sent a collective appeal to the Prime Minister calling for the immediate transfer of pensions to military pensioners from January 1, 2018, as well as to pensioners who are former employees of the internal affairs authorities – from January 1, 2016.
However, the government has once again imitated finding solution to this issue, replacing the real actions with a declaration on the increase and recalculation of pensions for the military.
In fact, according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, the complete recalculation of payments will be carried out gradually and partially, and it is actually delayed for the two whole years.
“We believe that such issues, under conditions of the war in the country, should have a clear legal regulation in order to avoid manipulation,” stressed Taras Batenko.
