The representatives of UKROP demand to close Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyiv and to cut off diplomatic relations with Russia. On February 20, with such a demand the representatives of the Crimean and Kyiv city party cells, as well as the youth party organization, held an action under the walls of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in the Ukrainian capital.
During the event, Bohdan Yaremenko, the Head of Kyiv city organization of UKROP, Chairman of the Board of "Maidan of Foreign Affairs" Fund, has emphasized that today is not only the anniversary of the terrible events on Maidan, but also the anniversary of the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimea. According to him, it has already taken away more than ten thousand lives of our fellow citizens. At the time when our friends and relatives are fighting against the enemy, the existence of any branches of the aggressor's institutions in our state is unacceptable.
"We believe that it's long ago that the diplomatic relations between Russia and Ukraine had to be cut off. During the war, during countering the armed aggression and returning the Ukrainian territory there should be no Russian diplomats in our country," emphasized Bohdan Yaremenko.
According to him, the only Russian "diplomacy" is tanks, artillery and shots at our soldiers: "We do not need such diplomacy, we do not need such friends, we do not need such neighbors. Rossotrudnichestvo is an "affiliation" with Putin, with a person who gave a command to occupy Ukraine, who gave an order to shoot at the Ukrainians".
For his part, the Head of the Crimean organization of UKROP Erfan Kudusov has noted that the Russian Federation is also responsible for the deathes and disappearances of the Crimean Tatars in the occupied peninsula. Therefore, he calls to stop the work of the Russian center in Kyiv, because it employs people who are trying to promote the idea of the so called "Russkyi mir" (Russian world) under the guise of cultural events.
In this regard, Erfan Kudusov has appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidential Administration: "We will not allow such FSS centers to work! If no government's decision is taken to terminate an intergovernmental agreement on the stay of this center in Ukraine, we will find the methods of influence of the civic society on this structure. And we reserve the right to hold civil actions."
At the same time, the chairman of Holosiivskyi district cell of UKROP, Oleksandr Yurchenko, has emphasized that the members of UKROP will not allow any propaganda of the culture of the occupying country in the Kyiv city center during the war: "During all the times, Russia has been engaged in one thing - it was trying to destroy the Ukrainian ethnos, culture. We allow that during the war in our capital there are Russian invaders that propagandize the culture of the country, which is now killing our best sons."
After the action, the members of UKROP went under the walls of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the requirement to cut off diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation and stop the activities of the Russian centers in Ukraine. The representatives of the political force chanted: "No to Russian aggression!", "Suitcase!" Train station! Russia! ", "Shame to invaders and occupiers!", "Say no to cooperation with the invader", "No to Russian occupant!", "No to the bloody culture!".
