People who have been governing the state for more than twenty years, but have failed to change the lives of the Ukrainians for better, should go into political retirement. This was stated during a press conference following the results of the meeting of the UKROP political council by the MP from the party Oleksandr Shevchenko.

“We have come to change the political system of Ukraine. So that those people, who have not changed anything during 26 years, go to rest into a political retirement,” said the MP.

In his opinion, our main enemy is not the Russian Federation, which is conducting an open war against Ukraine, but internal corruption and mutual cover-up that are eroding the county from inside. If the current authorities cannot overcome bribery and nepotism, then it should be done by new politicians, who will lead the country after the upcoming elections, the parliamentarian believes.

“So we will be able to overcome corruption, make the country rich, gain recognition of the world community, build a powerful army and protect ourselves,” added Oleksandr Shevchenko.

According to the MP, UKROP is one of a few opposition political forces that can change our country. And this owes to the fact that the activity of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” is guided not by the instructions of a single leader, like in most of the parties in Ukraine, but by the thoughts of ordinary people.

“UKROP has started its activity not as political force of the usurpation type. We have a party not of just one leader – we have a party of leaders,” said the UKROP member.
