Today, on January 11, in Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region, before a meeting of the work collective of the state enterprise “Kryvbaspromvodopostachannya” a deputy of Kryvyi Rih City Council from UKROP, Mykola Kolesnyk was attacked by a 19-year-old man with a plastic glass of brilliant green inside. The liquid got into the eyes of the UKROP member.
The attacker tried to escape, but he was caught and turned over to the police.
Mykola Kolesnyk has appealed for medical aid to a specialized ophthalmologic center of Kryvyi Rih city hospital № 4, where he was given first aid and diagnosed with “chemical injuries of both eyes”.
The head of UKROP in Kryvyi Rih associates the attack with the fact that the UKROP members are against the transfer of the strategically important state enterprise “Kryvbaspromvodopostachannya” to the lease of Kryvbasvodokanal public utility and have repeatedly declared the illegality of such actions.
It is known that the management of the enterprise forced the employees to write letters for dismissal from the state enterprise “Kryvbaspromvodopostachannya” and simultaneously to write applications for employment at Kryvbasvodokanal public utility.
The faction of the UKROP party in Kryvyi Rih City Council stands in defense of the interests of the staff of the state enterprise “Kryvbaspromvodopostachannya” and helps to defend their rights.
The issue of illegal transfer of the enterprise was voiced by Mykola Kolesnyk at the session of Kryvyi Rih City Council in December 2017. Then he did not receive answers from local officials. Subsequently, he was informed that the State Property Fund is engaged in the issue of the enterprise transfer to the lease.
“The deal on the transfer of a property complex of the state enterprise to the lease has been prepared from autumn, when a competition was announced without informing the staff and the trade union, in which the only participant – Kryvbasvodokanal public utility – won. This fact, which became known in December 2017, raises many questions, since Kryvbasvodokanal public utility is unprofitable and does not have qualified specialists to give service to Kryvbaspromvodopostachnnya facilities. In addition, its management did not agree on the transfer procedure with the city council, since the maintenance of the complex is likely to be provided at the expense of budget funds. In this case, these expenses should be included to the budget of 2018, and they are not foreseen there. Another question is whether the head of Kryvbasvodokanal enterprise, which was founded by the city council, was authorized to sign such a lease agreement? I want to note that a few days ago, I sent an appeal to the MPs asking the State Labor Service to assess the actions of the managers of both companies and the State Property Fund with a demand to check legality of the conclusion of the lease agreement,” said Mykola Kolesnyk.
According to the UKROP member, these actions could have become the reason for a bold attack on him.
It is to be recalled, on January 4 the unknown persons attacked the aide of the deputy of Kryvyi Rih City Council from UKROP Mykola Kolesnyk Borys Bychkov. Three unknown beat the man brutally – he has got a closed craniocerebral injury and numerous injuries of soft tissues.
