The first return of the Ukrainian soldiers from the captivity of militants in almost a year and three months is just the beginning of the release of heroes. The Head of the UKROP faction in Kryvyi Rih City Council, chairman of the ATO Veterans Council of UKROP Mykola Kolesnyk has written about this on his Facebook page.

“We should return everyone, look for missing persons! This is really a joy mixed with tears in our eyes, we will be definitely happy when we return everyone!” stressed the UKROP member.

According to Mykola Kolesnyk, dozens of Ukrainian soldiers are still in prisons and isolation cells “on the other side”. The deputy has urged the officials, launching an active PR campaign on the day of prisoners’ return, not only to take cynical selfies with the released hostages, but to help the families of those who are still in captivity.

He has also noted that officials of all levels held a real contest for the right to be the first to meet the Ukrainian fighters in the free territory, but during the last year most of them did not care about the fate of the captives and their relatives.

“No one prevents you from helping their families, here, right now, in peaceful territory, no one prevents from caring about their parents, children, wives. And also looking for missing persons, providing support to their families,” said Mykola Kolesnyk.

The UKROP member has noted that among the 74 released prisoners there are also fighters of Kryvbas battalion Mykola Gerasymenko and Oleksandr Lazarenko: “Those who meet the guys will not be ashamed to look into their eyes. For a single day or a week, for months or years of captivity, we have not left their families without attention, without help!”

As it is known, on October 12, 2017, Mykola Kolesnyk was elected chairman of the ATO Veterans Council of UKROP. Members of the association help volunteers to search for missing persons who have gone missing at war. In addition, its representatives support the families of dead and lost fighters all over Ukraine and help those who need rehabilitation.
