5.7% of Ukrainians supported UKROP and its representatives at the elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils of the united territorial communities, which took place on December 24 in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the preliminary count of votes held by the party.
Thus, the political force has traditionally confirmed its leadership position. In particular, UKROP has more than 50 deputies in almost all regions of Ukraine, where the vote took place.
“Our team has confirmed the parliamentary rating and a high level of credibility with the Ukrainians. 2017 can be surely called the year of UKROP’s victory – we have gained it at local elections in April, October and December. Now we are preparing some personnel decisions and moving forward,” said the Head of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko.
UKROP has got the best positions in Poltava, Volyn and Lviv regions. In Poltava region 12 deputies from the political force were elected to Mashivska town community. This is the best result among all parties. In addition, two UKROP members became deputies of Kozelshchynska town council in Poltava region.
In Volyn region five candidates from UKROP were elected deputies of Zaturcivska village UTC, another one – of Zymnivska. In Lviv region four UKROP members became deputies of Murovanska village UTC, and two others – of Kamyanka-Buzka municipal community.
Besides, UKROP has demonstrated good results in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Here the 27-year-old candidate from the party, Maryana Maslyak, has become head of Voynilivska town UTC. She was supported by almost 65% of local voters.
“The party aims to strengthen its position. Despite the constant pressure from the authorities, we are struggling for positive changes in the country and protecting the interests of the Ukrainians,” stressed the Head of the UKROP Secretariat Denys Borysenko.
