The Ukrainians from all corners of the country are united with unwillingness to tolerate corrupt officials in power. This was stated by the chairman of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko in the program “Right to Rule” on the air of “1+1” TV channel.
“The war has reconciled different layers of society, the east and west of Ukraine. But we cannot reconcile ourselves with the top corrupt officials, just the same as we cannot tolerate terrorists or killers of the Heavenly Hundred,” said the MP.
The UKROP member has added that corruption is the main burden for the country that can make citizens protest on a new Maidan. On the other hand, the MP has stressed the beginning of the failure of democracy under conditions of the persecution of opposition.
“The war is blamed on for everything. The authorities pile lies upon lies in their actions and promises made three years ago to Maidan, citizens and western partners,” said Taras Batenko.
In the opinion of the MP, all problems in Ukraine begin with the fact that officials are primarily concerned with their own revenues, and not with the state interests. Even during such national tragedies as Debaltsevo and Ilovaisk, those in power only thought about preserving their own business.
“Business and power in Ukraine should be divided,” said Taras Batenko.
