At the 26th regular session the deputies of Dnipro City Council have adopted the Ukrainianization program of the city “With Ukraine in Heart”. The initiative is designed for three years.
Its main goal is to support local identity of Dnipro, preserve Ukrainian traditions, Ukrainianization of urban space and resistance to Russian aggression, particularly in the field of culture. This has been repeatedly emphasized by the Mayor Borys Filatov.
“Ukrainization program for Dnipro is adopted. And even so that nobody has noticed it. Everybody voted. In particular, the Opposition Bloc and the “For Life” party. I do not deceive anyone, I’m just very insidious. The state is the highest value,” wrote the Dnipro City Mayor on his Facebook page after the adoption of the initiative.
According to the program, the Museum of Dnipro History will be opened in the city, as well as the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the Ukrainian steppe. In addition, the mobile museum exhibitions dedicated to historical events and prominent people will be created in the city. They will be shown in educational institutions, military units and hospitals.
At the same time, according to the program, a number of monuments and new historical and cultural centers will be also founded in Dnipro.
According to the authors of the program, this will help to improve tourism attractiveness of the city and attract new investors.
