The representatives of the authorities in the parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense want to cynically “scrap” the amendment to the draft law No. 7163 “On the peculiarities of the state policy on ensuring the state sovereignty of Ukraine over temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions”, which provides the rupture of diplomatic relations with The Russian Federation. This was stated by the Chairman of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko.
“The authorities are deliberately evading their constitutional duties – to defend Ukraine and break off diplomatic relations with the aggressor!” wrote the parliamentarian on his Facebook page.
The MPs from UKROP have supported a bill on reintegration of Donbas, which finally recognizes the Russian Federation as an aggressor country, in the first reading.
However, realizing all the games of power, the representatives of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” have submitted their amendments to the document, according to which the government and the president have to finally break off diplomatic relations with the hostile country.
“We have no doubt that Russia is an aggressor, and this should be fixed in the Ukrainian legislation. But this is not enough! There can be no diplomatic relations with the aggressor,” said the politician.
Taras Batenko has added that voting for the appropriate amendment will show the whole country who actually sings along with Moscow. In their turn, the UKROP representatives will do everything to ensure that the names, surnames and photos of those who will be against the rupture of diplomatic relations with the aggressor become known to every Ukrainian.
“It is possible to have been talking about love for Ukraine for a long time, but it should be confirmed by the actions! UKROP and all Ukrainian patriots, ATO veterans, mothers and wives of the victims and captives of the war with Russia will closely look how the MPs will vote when considering our amendment on the rupture of diplomatic relations with Russia,” said the MP.
