The victory of opposition political parties in the elections in the united territorial communities shows dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian authorities. Such a point of view was expressed by the head of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko in the program “Right to Rule” on the air of “1+1” TV channel.

At the same time, the politician has remarked the good result of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” that has managed to take the fourth place, despite the mounting pressure of the pro-government forces.

“No matter how the authorities want to destroy us, UKROP is still germinating and will germinate further,” said the politician.

According to Taras Batenko, the results of the elections in the UTC are the face of electoral sympathies of the Ukrainians who trust management in the communities to their best representatives.

The high turnout at the elections shows that the issues of local importance concern the citizens more than the national problems, the value of which ordinary Ukrainians often do not even completely understand.

But newly formed communities will be really effective when the political parties that delegate their representatives will take responsibility for the situation on the ground.

“Today we see how the authorities are cynically rejecting the principles of Maidan. We have no success in the war, corruption is over-the-top, and we are approaching Ukraine’s collapse. In this situation, we have to assume responsibility for people and the country. UKROP is ready to be accountable to communities in towns and villages,” said Taras Batenko.
