UKROP’s high results at the elections in the united territorial communities confirm people’s confidence in the party and the effectiveness of its work. This was stated by the head of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko in a video address to the party members and supporters.

“The election results have shown that UKROP is a living and effective organism. This is a young party whose representatives have not been in power before. Our political force is struggling for systemic changes in the state. Unfortunately, the system of power still could not be broken by any Ukrainian Maidan. We are worrying about this, because today we are again seeing an attempt to usurp power in the country,” said the politician.

The MP has noted that elections to local self-government bodies were a chance for the Ukrainian parties to show themselves, as the communities have chosen the most worthy ones.

Taras Batenko has stressed that according to the results of voting, UKROP has become one of the top five leaders among political forces: “We were telling the truth about what was happening in Ukraine. And people believed us, so UKROP has won in many regions. We have the first places in Volyn, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Our deputies have got victory in the local authorities from Luhansk region to Zakarpattya.”

Taras Batenko has also added that today the UKROP representatives are actually in opposition to the authorities and do not agree with the current state of affairs in the country. Therefore, it was extremely important for the party to show alternative to the communities.

“We are proud of the high result at the elections. We will not let people down and will meet their expectations. Glory to Ukraine!” stressed the MP.

As it is known, on October 29 in Ukraine there were the elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils in 201 united territorial communities. UKROP participated in the elections in 173 UTC and has got the fourth place among all political parties with a result of 9.5%. These were the largest local elections in the country since 2015.
