UKROP has got a convincing victory in the elections of deputies of village, town and city councils of the united territorial communities in Volyn region on October 29. This is evidenced by the preliminary results of vote counting.
In particular, in 18 UTC of the region 123 UKROP representatives among 403 candidates have won. This means that the UKROP members have received 43.5% of the total number of party deputies’ seats in Volyn region.
In Zarychanska village UTC 14 candidates from the political force have won the elections. In Copachivska and Ivanychivska UTC, 12 UKROP candidates have become deputies. Golovnenska united territorial community has got 10 deputies from the party, Tsumanska and Dubechnenska – 9, Ovadnivska – 8, Lyubeshivska and Lukivska – 7.
At the same time, 6 candidates from UKROP have won in Boratynska and Rivnenska communities, and 4 in Kolkivska, Velimchenska and Gorodyshchenska UTC.
In addition, three UKROP members have won in Lyubomlska, Turiyska and Zhydychinska territorial communities, and two more in Serehovychivska UTC.
In 19 communities, 11 candidates, supported by UKROP, have got convincing victory in the election of the head of the community.
Thus in Boratynska UTC Serhiy Yaruchyk has got a victory, in Ivanychivska UTC – Fedir Voytyuk, in Golovnenska – Mykola Demidyuk. Anastasia Pavlovych won the election in Velymchenska UTC, Galyna Matviyuk in Zhidychynska and Oksana Pitsyk in Smidynska UTC.
Ihor Palyonka has got a convincing victory in Zarichnenska UTC. Oleksandr Sovtys has won in Kopachivska UTC, Serhiy Panasevych – in Ovadnivska, Anatoliy Doroshuk – in Tsumanska, and Anatoly Klymuk – in Lukivska UTC.
“Despite numerous obstacles, UKROP candidates and the candidates, supported by our political force, have got convincing victory. This shows that democratic forces have all chances to fight, and newly created UTC have prospects for long-term development,” said Vyacheslav Rublyov, head of UKROP in Volyn region.
As it is known, on October 29 the elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils were held in 201 united territorial communities in all regions of Ukraine. This is the largest local election since 2015. On election day, UKROP representatives recorded numerous violations of the electoral process. The most common among them was campaigning.
