The representatives of UKROP have recorded violations during the elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils of the united territorial communities that are held on October 29 in Ukraine. Among the most popular there are campaigning in support of a certain politician.
In particular, the UKROP representatives recorded such campaigning in Vinnytsya, Rivne, Kherson and Lviv regions.
According to Part 2 of Article 54 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Elections”, pre-election campaign ends at 24:00 on the last Friday before the day of voting. It is prohibited to conduct campaigning before and after the terms set in the article.
Nevertheless, in the village inLuka-Meleshkivka UTC in Vinnytsya region, campaigning materials of the candidate from Samopomich Association, Mykola Mischenko, were hanging on the election day.
A similar situation was in Demidiv town UTC in Rivne region. Here, at the electric tower the campaign materials of the candidate for the chairman of Demidiv town UTC, deputy chief physician of Demidiv Central District Hospital Viktor Ishchuk also weren’t removed.
At the same time, in Lviv region during the elections to Velykomostivska and Rudkivska UTC, the UKROP members recorded campaigning for the Batkivshchyna Party. And in Kherson region during elections to Bilozerska town UTC the voters received text messages with campaigning for one of the candidates from the BPP as a chairman of the Bilozerska community.
The representatives of UKROP also recorded gross violations in Zaporizhya region. Here, in Okhrymivka of Yakimivskiy district, members of the election commission issued ballot papers without voters’ signature on the list.
Another gross violation was also revealed by the UKROP members at the elections in Khmelnytskyi region. At one of the polling stations in Krasylivska UTC, the UKROP party wasn’t included in ballots at all.
In Volyn region there was also a serious violation of the electoral law. Here, at two polling stations in Lubesh, empty bits of paper arrived together with the printed ballot papers. And in Cherkasy region, on the day of elections to Ivankivska village UTC, announcements with the wrong time of work of the TEC were pasted up at the polling stations.
In Kirovograd region at the polling stations in the town of Pomichna electoral commission began to sign protocols on vote counting in the middle of voting. This violation is inadmissible and punishable by imprisonment for a term from 5 to 7 years.
In addition, during the elections in Baranyntsy in Zakarpattya region almost all the villages of the future community were cut off the electricity without any grounds. The town of Rudky in Lviv region was also left without light, which paralyzed the work of three polling stations.
As it is known, on October 29 the elections of deputies and heads of village, town and city councils in the 201 united territorial communities were held in all regions of Ukraine. UKROP participates in elections to 173 UTC.
