The MP from UKROP Iryna Konstankevych was elected chairman of the Subcommittee on Non-formal, Vocational and Professional Advanced Education of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Education and Science. The appropriate decision was made at the meeting of the committee.
“There are some important laws next in turn, so we will certainly gather public activists, work with the experts and prepare appropriate initiatives,” she emphasized.
According to her, creation of such a committee is now in time, because in Ukraine there is still no legislation that would regulate vocational and technical activities.
Konstankevych has noted that the MPs from UKROP had already prepared two bills that would regulate the financing of professional and vocational-technical activities, as well as the training of specialists according to state demand.
The documents were prepared together with the public and experts and have already passed the preliminary discussion in the profile committee. Iryna Konstankevych has also emphasized that further legislative initiatives should be prepared taking into account the views of employers.
In general, five subcommittees were set up on the basis of the committee, each of which corresponds to one of the main directions of the educational branch and correlates with the law “On Education”. According to the representative of UKROP, such structure corresponds to the law and public requests.
