Chairman of Cherkasy regional organization of the UKROP party Mykhailo Binusov assassinated

On Thursday, September 28, between 22:00 and 23:00 in Cherkasy, ​​near the garages in Lunacharsky district, unknown persons attacked the deputy head of Cherkasy City Council’s Housing and Municipal Services Department, head of Cherkasy regional organization of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots – UKROP” , deputy of the City Council Mykhailo Binusov. As a result of the attack, a deputy died on the spot.

According to preliminary information, the criminals fire more than 20 shots from Kalashnikov assault rifle. Mykhailo Binusov was appointed acting Head of Cherkasy City Council’s Housing and Municipal Services Department in September. As his main tasks he immediately identified the fight against corruption and stop of all unlawful cash flows. UKROP connects this fatal crime with the uncompromising position of Mykhailo Markovych.

The UKROP party expresses condolences to the relatives of the deceased and demands that Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, National Police Chief Serhiy Kniazev and Cherkasy police effectively and quickly investigate the assassination of Mykhailo Binusov. The UKROP party and the civil society will not let this notable case drop! The guilty must be punished!

Reference. Mykhailo Binusov was born on July 3, 1979 in Cherkasy. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Cherkasy State Technological University and the Faculty of Law of the National University “Yaroslav the Wise Law Academy of Ukraine”. In 2015 he was elected a deputy of Cherkasy City Council. He worked as an advisor to the mayor and before he held position of the Head of the State Committee on Civil Service in Cherkasy region.

On August 18, 2017, during the XIII Conference of Cherkasy regional party organization of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots – UKROP”, he was appointed chairman of UKROP in Cherkasy region. He was elected on the alternative basis and received unanimous support.
