The Ukrainian authorities should fully finance education, pensions and medical care, and not direct the necessary funds for these fields to the security forces. This opinion was expressed by the MP from UKROP Iryna Konstankevych on September 26, while reporting on her first year of work in Parliament.
“The main issues that concern the Ukrainians are roads, pensions, medical care and education. And if our authorities financed adequately these directions, and not the power structures, people would have much less problems,” she said during the meeting of Lyubeshiv district council in Volyn region.
Commenting on the first year of work in the Verkhovna Rada, Konstankevych drew attention to the need for parliamentarians’ reporting. In her opinion, this not only demonstrates the achievements of the MP, but also helps to outline a roadmap for the next parliamentary year.
“For me it’s important to hear people’s opinions and suggestions about my work. I believe that the report is a mandatory form of deputy’s work not only because we are maintained by taxpayers, but also because this work is aimed at improving people’s lives, and the main measure of its quality should be the opinion of citizens,” stressed the representative of UKROP.
She has also added that her activity in Parliament will not be limited to the format of deputy’s appeals and inquiries. Iryna Konstankevych plans to move to an active phase of action and will demand results from the officials.
In addition to reporting, during the meeting, the UKROP representative also congratulated the teachers of Lyubeshiv district on their professional holiday – the Day of Educators. On this occasion, she handed them gratitude from the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
At the same time, the MP has invited the village heads for an excursion to the Verkhovna Rada. A trip for 40-50 Lyubeshiv residents is scheduled for November and will include a tour not only to the Verkhovna Rada, but also an excursion in Kyiv.
