During the breakthrough across the Ukrainian border by the former head of Odessa Regional Administration Mikheil Saakashvili there were violations of the law from the both parts – of the politician and the Ukrainian authorities. This was stated by the MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy on the air of one of the TV channels.
He has explained that the stop of Ukrzaliznytsia’s train, Saakashvili was trying to go by, was made at a certain order. According to Vitaliy Kupriy, this order came from the Presidential Administration. Therefore, the politician sees in these actions a violation under Article 356 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – arbitrariness.
“In addition, when Ukrzaliznytsya began to transport people by buses, money was spent on fuel and salaries to drivers. This is a violation of Article 191 of the Criminal Code –misappropriation of funds by the officials. I have already made a statement that I will prepare documents on the criminal culpability,” said the MP.
Also, the UKROP member considers that Saakashvili has brought himself to bay. Instead of leading the protest movement, he has illegally crossed the border of Ukraine: “And now the Ukrainian authorities can persecute Mr. Saakashvili in a legal way – there is Article 332 of the CCU – organization of illegal transfer of persons across the state border. Both – he and our rulers – have broken the law. Another question how do we look like now in the eyes of the world community?”
