The United Nations Security Council will not adopt a resolution on introduction of peacekeepers in Donbas, as in the Russian and Ukrainian draft documents there are opposite positions.

Such an opinion was expressed on the air of 5th TV Channel by the chairman of Kyiv city organization of the party “Ukrainian Association of Patriots – UKROP”, the Chairman of the Board of “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” Fund Bohdan Yaremenko.

“There will be a kind of a diplomatic game, because there are two draft resolutions of the UN Security Council – Russian and Ukrainian ones. Discussions on these documents are ongoing. Obviously, there will be intentions to unite them in some way. But this idea will not be realized because the interests of the represented parties are opposite. Putin does not intend to reach peace or to settle the situation, and Ukraine has other ideas, and the intentions of the Europeans are also different. So, I think that no resolution on Ukraine will be adopted,” emphasized Bohdan Yaremenko.

In the opinion of the politician, Ukraine should attain that Russia recognizes itself as a party to the conflict. Our country should fix at the legislative level that Russia is an aggressor and an invader, and to refuse the definition “anti-terrorist operation” and officially recognize the armed conflict in the east.
