Our country is now being in a political crisis, so the statements of some politicians on inappropriateness of extraordinary parliamentary elections are the element of a political game, aimed at influencing public opinion. This was stated by the head of Kyiv city organization of UKROP, the chairman of the board of “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” Fund Bohdan Yaremenko on the air of the Ukrainian Internet Television UKRLIFE.TV.
“Today we are witnessing a political crisis in Ukraine. We see an increase in misunderstandings between the Prime Minister and the President, a sharp drop in rating of the head of state. And it is difficult for the political consultants to find a candidate with whom Poroshenko could win the election. These are absolutely objective facts. Therefore, the political parties are preparing for the elections,” emphasized Bohdan Yaremenko.
According to the politician, the UKROP party is no exception. In the upcoming weeks, a burst of party activity may be seen all over Ukraine.
“This will be related to the elections in the territorial communities in October. We have to show the Ukrainians that this party exists, that it is systemic, it fights for every seat and it has candidates to be represented in power. So we are preparing for the election. I’m not talking about the presidential one at the moment, but at the other elections we are aiming to win with a high level of support,” said the UKROP representative.
It is to be recalled, at the elections to the united territorial communities in December 2016 the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” got 5.72% of support, and in April 2017 – 9.13%. The party has 324 deputies in the councils and 13 heads of UTC.
