On the first day of autumn, the representatives of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” across the country celebrated the holiday of the First Bell for students and educators and looked back to their school times. Thus, the deputies from UKROP in Volyn region have shared some photos from school and their memories in the social networks.

The MP Iryna Konstankevych remembers her first celebratory school assembly. She says that she was waiting for the Day of Knowledge especially tremblingly, as she started to dream about school from the age of five. “My parents have greatly prepared me for the first assembly: incredibly beautiful white aprons made of batiste and decorated with lace, very beautiful collars and cuffs. And lacquer shoes! For a girl it was really something incredible. So I had a very dress-up look, festive mood and the desire to study the best, which, after all, was true during my first years at school,” the MP remembers.

The head of Volyn regional organization of UKROP, deputy of the Regional Council and counselor of its Head Vyacheslav Rublev, remembers that he, like most children, was expecting when he would finally go to school: “On my first official Knowledge Day I was dressed in a brown suit with a white collar. Then no one really thought about the clothes. After all, there was a school uniform and it was possible to attend classes only wearing it.”

And the first deputy mayor of Lutsk, deputy of Kivertsi District Council Hryhoriy Nedopad went to school with his father, because his mother was then in a hospital with a younger brother. “I studied at school № 4 in the town of Rozhyshche. I had an olive-colored schoolbag with a dog and the inscription “Missing Dog” on it. I had a seat at the last desk, and it was not strange, because I was the highest among my classmates. I remember how I went home with my neighbor. There were a lot of impressions on that day,” says Hryhoriy Nedopad.

The deputy of Lutsk City Council, counselor of Lutsk Mayor Tetyana Yanchuk notes that during her school years the uniform was compulsory in the elementary school.

“Every week my mother sewed cuffs and collar. The white apron was worn only on holidays, and every day – a black or a brown one. I liked the uniform. There was no pronounced distinction between the pupils on the poor and the rich. Another plus is that we did not have to think about what to wear,” adds Tetyana Yanchuk.

For the deputy of Volyn Regional Council, dean of the Business Faculty of Lutsk National Technical University, Nadiya Khvyschun, the first Knowledge Day was a special event. “Even in preschool age, I was frequently at school, because my mother was a teacher of mathematics. However, I really waited for my first bell. I remember this excitement and joy,” says Nadiya Khvyshchun.

The Head of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko took part in the opening of a new educational complex in Zolochiv district, in Lviv region. The MP actively helps to allocate budget funds for the needs of his constituency. Some of them were aimed at building this school.

“I believe that your abilities and your persistence will be a guarantee of your outstanding success in an adult life!” addressed Taras Batenko to the pupils.

Volodymyr Bodnar, the head of Obukhiv district cell of the UKROP party, on September 1 visited the secondary school in Zhukivtsi and congratulated the pupils and the teaching staff on the holiday.

“Educational process is an important component of the development of the individual, because child’s success in the future depends on the level of knowledge. I would like to remark the pedagogical team of the school for taking care of the children, trying to provide them with all the necessary knowledge and successfully prepare for adult life,” - said Volodymyr Bodnar.

In Zakarpattya region, on the initiative of the UKROP member Oleg Oros, with support of the Vice-Chairman of UKROP in Zakarpattya Vitaliy Popovych and the head of Uzhhorod party cell Roman Zaviskiy Velikolazivska secondary school of I-III degree received a modern professional projector. The gift was presented to the director Vira Danko by the UKROP member Oleg Oros.

“This is my hometown school. And I am grateful to it for the knowledge and the first steps in my adulthood. So, I will always try to support it,” said Oleg Oros.

The Mayor and the UKROP member Valentyn Kozyarchuk attended the holiday of the First Bell at Svitlovodsk school №7. In 2006, this educational institution was included to the top 100 schools in Ukraine. More than half a thousand children are studying here. The mayor is convinced: the current generation of schoolchildren will help to build a European, successful Ukraine.

Vyacheslav Rublyov, head of the UKROP faction in Volyn Regional Council, visited the holiday of the First Bell in two schools – in the village of Knyagynynok in Lutsk district and in the village of Shklin in Gorokhivsky district.

The politician is convinced that in the educational institutions of Volyn region should be created the most comfortable conditions for children’s education.

“On the occasion of the holiday Ihor Palytsya’s Fund “Only together” presented a laptop for the projector to the school in Shklin village. This equipment is always for the teachers to make the learning process more interesting for children. The head of the Regional Council, Ihor Palytsya, constantly emphasizes that education and children are at the first place, says the deputy. – In addition, we plan to help the school with roof repair, as it is in a critical condition.”

In Knyahyninivska specialized boarding school of I-III degrees “Center for Education and Social-Pedagogical Support” the deputy of Volyn Regional Council Vyacheslav Rublyov, together with the administration of the institution, opened the dining room for the pupils of 1-2 grades and inspected the newly renovated exterior facade. The politician promised to contribute so that a comprehensive heating of the boarding school was carried out at the expense of the educational subvention.
