Referring to the Minsk agreements in the future bill on reintegration of Donbas will mean a complete capitulation of Ukraine.

This was stated on August 29 by the MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy on the air of ZIK TV channel.

“If the title of the bill does not contain the word “de-occupation”, we recognize that these territories are occupied and in fact integrate them in such a status. This fully corresponds to the spirit of the Minsk agreements,” said Vitaliy Kupriy. The MP has noted that in the Minsk agreements there is no point about recognition of the Russian Federation as an aggressor. That is why our state is already losing cases in the international courts, considering lawsuits against the Russian Federation. Moreover, our Western partners are not going to strengthen sanctions against Russia because the Ukrainian high officials are not willing to cut off diplomatic and economic relations with the northern neighbor.

At the same time, the bill on integration of the occupied Donbas does not answer the question about what to do with the collaborators who were fighting on the enemy’s side after withdrawal of the Russian occupation troops from Ukraine.

“I do not believe that this document will serve the interests of our state,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.

According to the MP, adoption and further implementation of this bill may only result in a gradual federalization and loss of the unity of Ukraine.
