The “Ukrainian Association of Patriots – UKROP” will nominate its candidates in maximum number of united territorial communities (UTC) for the local elections in October this year. This was stated by the Chairman of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko.
“During the recent months, I have visited most of the regional organizations. We know the situation in the regions. And we will delegate our party representatives for the election, without hiding behind self-nominated candidates, as the authorities do,” wrote Taras Batenko on his Facebook page.
The politician is convinced that local elections will become more and more important for the results of the parties in future parliamentary elections. The Ukrainians will vote for those political forces that have their representatives in the regions and work for the protection of the community. Now in the structure of the UKROP party there are more than 600 organizations throughout Ukraine, and more than 150 reception offices. The party admits new members, and conducts trainings for its representatives and deputies of different levels.
Taras Batenko also hopes that in autumn the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” will improve the results shown during the previous local elections: 5.72% in December 2016 and 9.13% in April 2017.
It is to be recalled, the CEC appointed the elections in 202 united territorial communities in all regions of Ukraine for October 29. The vote will cover 1.3 million people, 116 villages, 61 towns and 25 cities.
