The international community will not recognize Russian aggression against Ukraine until our authorities begin to call war as the war.
This was stated by the MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy on the air of “Espresso” TV channel. The MP has also noted that due to uncertain status of the conflict in the east, Russia does not appear in any international court case concerning the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This resembles the events of the Russian-Georgian war, during which Europe and the United States have withdrawn from resolving the conflict.
“Looking at the proposals on appeasement of the aggressor through the Minsk agreements, we may say that the USA and Europe are falling into the same trap, trying to “hand” us the occupied Donbas with those people who have started the conflict,” emphasized Vitaliy Kupriy.
In this regard, the representative of UKROP has stressed the need to adopt a law that will officially assign the status of war and the fact of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine. Meanwhile, the authorities continue making advances to the terrorists through the arrangements behind the scenes in the Minsk negotiating group, while the Parliament remains removed from resolving the conflict.
Moreover, there is a danger that the authorities will pass through the Verkhovna Rada a bill legalizing terrorists in Donbas by intimidating the MPs using criminal cases.
“If the authorities will once again return to the issue on the amnesty of Zakharchenko-Plotnitsky terrorists with granting them the right to their own court, prosecutor’s office and police, none of the patriots will vote for it,” said the politician.
