Today, on July 25, at the Main Military Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, the UKROP member Yevhen Didkivsiy got operated, after being attacked on July 15 in Korostyshiv, Zhytomyr Region. Currently, the last of the four bullets, which was shot by the unknown ones straightforward in a high day, was removed. On the day of the assassination attempt, the UKROP member with grave wounds was taken to Korostyshiv City Hospital, there he got operated, and in a week he was transferred to the hospital.
His relatives, friends and party fellows relate such a violent attack to the victim’s public activity. He and his brother, the UKROP member Viktor Didkivskiy, tried to ensure that law-enforcers took decisive measures to stop the criminal group led by Andriy Lavrynenko in the city of Korostyshiv. Brothers Didkivskiy were repeatedly threatened, and in April this year Viktor was brutally beaten.
“The criminals who attacked our party fellows should face the law,” commented on Andriy Kovalyov, the head of Zhytomyr regional branch of UKROP. – Victor and Yevhen are courageous people who seek for justice fighting against criminal tyranny in the city, despite being threatened. We will keep the investigation of this flagrant case under control.”
It is to be recalled, at the end of May, with the assistance of the MP from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy, the leader of the criminal group was arrested. And Yevhen Didkivskiy was attacked four days before a court hearing on charges against members of the criminal group of Petro Sokolovskiy and Mykola Kuzemko. They are accused of infliction of bodily harm to the activist Anatoliy Poplavskiy. The UKROP member Victor Didkivskiy had to testify during a court hearing on July 17, and that’s why he and his brother Yevhen were repeatedly threatened. However, the court hearing was postponed until September, referring to the leave of the judge.
Meanwhile, the Office of the National Police in Zhytomyr region is not currently disclosing information about the course of the investigation into an attempt on the UKROP member’s life.
