The “Ukrainian Association of Patriots – UKROP” is deeply concerned about the fact Zhytomyr region is turning into a semi-criminal land. Today, an active member of our party, activist Yevhen Didkivskiy was attacked with a weapon. He was shot with a pistol right in front of the eyes of the child, with whom he went out for a walk. At the moment, our party member is in resuscitation. Earlier his brother Victor, who actively fought against a local criminal group, was also attacked.
In such actions we see the attempts to intimidate our party – the only political force that did not support “amber scams” in Zhytomyr Regional Council and actively defends the interests of the local residents, protecting them from the tyranny of criminality.
UKROP requires that the Interior Minister Arsen Avakov provide an effective investigation into the attack on Yevhen Didkivskiy. We call on the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko to punish the law enforcement officers whose inaction led to the fact that criminal elements in Zhytomyr region feel free and with impunity. UKROP will not let this bold attack drop!
