On July 14, Poltava Regional Council appealed to the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers calling to support the draft laws № 5561 and № 5562, which will facilitate the import of used cars to Ukraine. Consideration of this issue was initiated by the head of the UKROP faction Serhiy Solovey.

“These bills were prepared by the deputies from UKROP and civic activists. The documents are registered in the Verkhovna Rada. Their adoption will give Ukrainians the opportunity to drive more affordable and high-quality cars. I am convinced that every family has the right to have an own car at a real price!” said Serhiy Solovey.

Thus, the deputies of the Regional Council demand to urgently amend the current legislation of Ukraine by adopting the bills № 5561 and № 5562, which will allow to form a civilized market of the used cars in Ukraine, increase budget revenues and deregulate the automotive industry.

It is to be recalled, the mentioned draft laws propose to extend reduced duties on the import of cars by the end of 2020, remove restrictions on their use (year of issue and environmental standard – any, with free sale of imported vehicles) and replace the requirement of compliance with environmental standards by an obligatory technical inspection.
