On July 1-2 the festival “Night at Lutsk Castle” will take place in Lutsk. It will be held with the support of the fund of the Head of Volyn Regional Council, member of the Presidium of UKROP Ihor Palytsya “Only together”. All funds raised during the event will be spent on charity.
This year, during the “Night at Lutsk Castle” artists from France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland and Ukraine will give their performances. Program of the festival was presented at the press conference by Ihor Palytsya and acting Mayor of Lutsk, chairman of the UKROP faction in the City Council Ihor Polischuk.
The “Night at Lutsk Castle” will become a brand, a visiting card of our city. It will be visited not only by Volyn residents, but also by the guests from other regions of Ukraine and the world. This year, the representatives of the Council of Europe, Mayors of European and Ukrainian cities, were also invited to the festival. This event will give us the opportunity to declare to the whole Europe about Lubart’s Castle, about Lutsk and its history,” said Ihor Polishchuk.
The current festival will have a different format than usually. The program is divided into two parts – day-time, which starts at 14.00, and evening-time, which is scheduled to start at 21.00. The artists who have never been to Ukraine will perform at the festival: the French theater Remue Menage and the Italian band Molecole Show, soloists of the opera houses of Prague, Vienna, Rome and Warsaw, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra. Besides, Kyiv Modern Ballet under direction of Radu Poklitaru will also perform at the “Night at Lutsk Castle”.
“All funds received from sale of tickets and rent of the area will be allocated for charity. There was an offer to transfer money to the children’s clinic of the city of Lutsk – in order to improve the conditions for doctors’ work, children and their parents, and perhaps to buy equipment. So, anyone who buys ticket may join a good deed,” said Ihor Palytsya. – In addition, we have a great opportunity to turn Lutsk into a tourist city.”

Reference. “Night at Lutsk Castle” is an annual art festival on the territory of the historical-cultural reserve “Old Lutsk”. The festival was first held in 2007, having gained popularity and international recognition. Its organization played an important role in recognizing Lutsk castle as the winner of the All-Ukrainian Action “7 Wonders of Ukraine”. The project was recognized as the best in the rating of artistic events in Volyn region and included in the list of 100 best events in the Ukrainian tourism industry in 2012.
