Sudden statements made by the authorities that the ATO format will not allow to liberate Donbas are nothing more than political activity that may indicate the approaching elections. The Head of Kyiv city organization of the UKROP party, Chairman of the Board of Maidan of Foreign Affairs Fund Bohdan Yaremenko has written it on his Facebook page.
The representative of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” has recalled that in 2014 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the ATO could not last for months and had to be carried out in a short time, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchinov at the meeting of the NSDC in February 2014 voted for the introduction of martial law. The politician suggested that for the authorities it will take a few years to bring the legislation “to the needs for countering the hybrid war”.
“Since 2014 in Ukraine a hybrid war is conducted in the most common form of an armed conflict. And most importantly, Turchinov knows it very well. So what today’s “sudden clarification” is related to, or rather such political activity in the form of “playing the clown”? Could it be the war? Whether the elections again?” wrote Bohdan Yaremenko in the social network.
It is to be recalled, the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said that it is time to end the ATO and switch to the new format for protecting Ukraine. In addition, he supported the idea to grant the right to the President to use military force to counter hybrid aggression.
