Diplomat, Chairman of the Board of Maidan of Foreign Affairs Fund Bohdan Yaremenko was elected head of UKROP city organization in Kyiv.
The decision was adopted with the majority of votes on June 9, during the 17th Conference of Kyiv city party organization. According to the newly elected leader, during the next two or three weeks he plans to meet with the representatives of all district organizations in Kyiv. Bohdan Yaremenko also outlined his priorities on his new post.
“These are – the development of party structure, formation of pool of qualified candidates for running for elections and being engaged in fight at the polling stations as observers, and having candidates for all elective offices in Kyiv. I see the need to strengthen the material and financial situation of the organization. This issue should be addressed to the central office. We should develop the success that we have got in distributing campaign materials, increasing their quality and quantity. In Kyiv there will be no local elections, so we have time and desire to do all these things,” said the head of Kyiv city organization.
Bohdan Yaremenko thanked everybody for the trust and the former head of Kyiv city party organization Dmytro Simansky – for keeping the party cell and forming a team with which it is possible to work.
In his turn, Mr. Simansky noted that since the last conference there have been some changes for the better in the work of the organization.
“There are several new projects, initiated by district organizations. They may be spread in the citywide format. There is though a small but a growing number of members of the city party cell,” said the former leader of UKROP in Kyiv.
Besides during the conference, delegates approved a new composition of the council of Kyiv city party organization.
It is to be recalled, on May 24 Dmytro Simansky was elected chairman of UKROP’s Permanent Advisory Expert Group. In this regard, he resigned as a chairman of Kyiv city party organization and member of the party’s political council.
