The statements, made by Russian diplomats on inferiority of a visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union, are nothing but manifestation of envy. The chairman of the board of Maidan of Foreign Affairs Fund, UKROP member Bohdan Yaremenko has written about it on his Facebook page.

As it is known, a Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov said that the visa-free regime between Ukraine and EU can not be considered complete because it involves only slight liberalization and does not include free employment.

“Everything said in this context by the Russians – is no more than amfibiar asphyxia, as one doctor has joked, and then genuinely laughed and explained his joke: it means that greed got the better,” wrote Bohdan Yaremenko.

According to the former diplomat, within the framework of the visa-free dialogue with EU Ukraine has not negotiated on employment and permanent residence. In addition, such statements of the Russian Federation look quite strange, because Russia has no agreements on free employment with EU, and even with Belarus. So Bohdan Yaremenko has also advised the Russians to get at least some liberalization of visa regime from EU, and only then assess Ukraine’s achievements.
