The Head of the political council of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP”, MP Taras Batenko has appealed to his colleagues from the rostrum of Parliament calling to adopt this Thursday a bill on the status of the occupied territories, which will make impossible the trade with ORDLO.

“We appeal to Samopomich, Batkivshchyna, Svoboda, BPP, People’s Front, Radical Party, all factions present here: let’s work at a common algorithm. Let’s come to our senses and submit the bill on temporarily occupied territories for consideration this week, on Thursday,” said Taras Batenko.

The politician has also called on the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, head of Committee on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Sergiy Vlasenko and Pavlo Pynzenyk, head of Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work of The Verkhovna Rada to promote the adoption not only of this bill, but also of the resolution on Temporary Investigation Commission for checking all the aspects of trade with the occupied territories. “This war will last for decades, if our oligarchs and officials earn on it, making profits from blood of our heroes,” said Taras Batenko.

It is to be recalled, today near the Verkhovna Rada at the UKROP’s initiative there was held a mass rally, which was attended by the party representatives from different parts of Ukraine, volunteers, ATO veterans and mothers of the Ukrainian prisoners of war. They were holding placards with the names of their regions, appealing to stop trade with the occupants with such slogans: “Say “no” to business from blood!”, “It’s time to stop changing coal to the graves!”, “Say “no” to trade with the occupants! Freedom for captives!”, “Stop funding terrorists!”, “We demand to adopt a law on occupied territories”, “Parliamentarians, are you with people?” The protesters demanded to include immediately to the parliamentary agenda a draft resolution on the Temporary Investigation Commission for checking the legality of issuing permits for trade between Ukraine and uncontrolled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and consider it. Also, protesters insisted on immediate adoption of a bill on the status of the occupied territories, which will put an end to economic relations between Kyiv and the occupants.
