MPs from UKROP demand to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution on the Temporary Investigation Commission for checking illegal trade with the occupants and the bill on temporarily occupied territories

The representatives of UKROP in Parliament demand to add to the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution “On creation of the Temporary Investigation Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for checking all the aspects of supplying goods and services to the temporarily occupied territories and the territory of the anti-terrorist operation and from there”. This was stated by the MP Valentyn Didych on February, 20 during conciliatory council of faction leaders and heads of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada. “A group of deputies from UKROP requires that a draft resolution on creation of the Temporary Investigation Commission be included to this week’s agenda,” said Valentyn Didych.

In his turn, the MP Vitaliy Kupriy stressed the need to consider a draft law on the occupied territories, which provides a complete termination of trade with the aggressor. According to the representative of UKROP, a number of legislative initiatives regulating relations with the occupants should be included to the agenda. In particular, the draft documents on terminating Treaty of amity and cooperation with Russia, on sanctions against Russian banks and labeling goods of the country-aggressor. “It’s time to stop flirting with occupants and to take decisive action to ensure that our country could finally restore peace,” said Vitaliy Kupriy. According to the MP, there is no use waiting for peace until the current authorities earn by trading with the occupants.
