On February 21 near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a rally in support of the trade blockade of the occupied territories of Donbas will be held. Among the participants there will be the representatives of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” from all over Ukraine, ATO veterans and mothers of the Ukrainian prisoners of war. In general about 5,000 participants are expected to come. They will demand the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt a law on the occupied territories, which will make trading with the terrorists impossible, and to create a temporary commission in order to check bilateral trade.
The action will start at 9:00 and will last all day long.
The representatives of UKROP emphasize that trading with occupants is unacceptable. In 2015 the President of Ukraine said that financing terrorists, who seized the Ukrainian lands, is unacceptable. But still neither the Head of the state nor the Parliament made any steps to put an end to making business on blood.
Only in 2015 16 million tons of coal were transported from the uncontrolled territory, and the terrorists get 47% of anthracite price as taxes for fuel supply to the state company “Centrenergo”. The oligarchs, who are close to power, and those who cover shadow schemes, get over six billion hryvnias as a total revenue per year.
“The blockade, started by the veterans of the War for Independence, should put an end to trading with the occupants and stop their financing at the expense of ordinary Ukrainians,” are convinced the representatives of UKROP.
