The war in east Ukraine will last as long as those, who make profits from it, benefit. The head of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” political council, MP Taras Batenko said it on February, 9 in the program “Right to rule” on the air of “1+1” TV channel.

“This war has become profitable. It will last as long as someone makes money from it,” said Taras Batenko. According to the MP, the authorities should stop covering undeclared war calling it ATO and start calling things by their proper names.

After three years of conflict in Ukraine it’s time to recognize the war at the official level, to impose martial law on the occupied territories and cut off diplomatic relations with the aggressor. In this regard, UKROP seeks to consolidate the democratic political forces in order to adopt a law on temporarily occupied territories and to create a Temporary Investigation Commission, which will check legality of the actions of those officials and institutions, including the Ministry of Energy headed by Ihor Nasalyk, that continue trading with ORDLO. “During three years we have been fed with promises to carry out anti-terrorist operation in a few weeks. But today we have a trading operation within ATO. We should put an end to it,” summed up Taras Batenko.
