The former head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Ihor Kolomoisky has become a member of the UKROP party. This was announced during the XI Congress of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” on November, 25 in Kyiv. He is in the list of one of the party district organizations in Kyiv.
“It is a great honour for Ihor Kolomoisky and great support for all of us. With his membership our party has been strengthened the most, as he is really the leader of this party,” said the member of the UKROP political council, Head of Volyn Regional Council Ihor Palytsya.
The delegates have elected Ihor Kolomoisky as the Chairman of Party Control Commission (“Party Court”) – permanent auditing body that monitors and control compliance with the party rules, policy documents, party discipline and ethics of the party members, statutory bodies and party leadership. The decision was supported by 419 delegates.
“Ihor Kolomoisky couldn’t be present at the Congress, but he has passed an application to the chairman of the party political council with his consent to head the PCC. For him it is an honour to be together with the team of UKROP and run for the Head of Party Control Commission,” said the chairman of UKROP political council Taras Batenko.
The Commission is accountable to and controlled exclusively by the Party Congress. It also includes: the writer Vasyl Shkliar, MPs Victor Shevchenko, Vitaliy Kupriy, Iryna Konstankevych, member of the working group on the UKROP party charter Oksana Tunika-Friz and deputy of Zaporizhia City Council from UKROP Oleg Kolomoets.
According to the party rules, the Commission develops a draft Code of party ethics, considers internal party disputes, takes decisions eliminating violations in the activities of the party statutory bodies and their management, as well as of the party leadership, revokes decisions of the party executive bodies (presidium of the party, councils of primary, local and regional party organizations) and its leadership in case of violation of the charter, party program or legislation. PCC reinstates members whose membership was wrongfully terminated.
