The local party organizations of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” will take part in the first elections of deputies and chairmen of village, town and city councils in the united communities, which will be held on 11th and 18th December 2016 in 22 regions of Ukraine.
This decision was unanimously adopted at the tenth Party Congress in Kyiv on November, 2.
“UKROP will run in the elections in the united communities. These are the first important elections after 2015 elections that have been successful for our party. We take it seriously and we are determined not just to participate but to win,” stressed the chairman of the UKROP political council, MP Taras Batenko during the Party Congress.
Candidates for these elections will be nominated at the conferences of local party organizations. Decisions of the conferences are to be approved by the political council of the party.
As it is known, the Central Election Commission has scheduled local elections in 41 united communities for December, 11. On December, 18 the elections will be held in 143 united communities.
