A draft law, registered in Parliament, will allow systematizing and publishing information on legal entities, which are associated with a country that carries out military aggression against Ukraine. The draft law № 5292 “On Amendments to Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On state registration of legal entities and individuals – entrepreneurs and public organizations” is submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by the MPs from UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy, Taras Batenko, Iryna Konstankevych, Victor Shevchenko, Oleksandr Dubinin, Valentyn Didych and Oleksandr Shevchenko.

The authors of the draft law note that because of the Russian aggression against Ukraine patriotic citizens refuse goods and services provided by the Russian companies and the Ukrainian enterprises strive not to collaborate with legal entities of the aggressor country. But there is no official summary information about the beneficial owners of the legal entities registered in Ukraine, who are residents of the Russian Federation.

“We ask to add the information on the final beneficial owner (controller) of the legal entity that is a resident of the Russian Federation to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. It is necessary to have a separate special register, where everyone will have the opportunity to see the data. Then the companies with patriotic position will not work with such contractors, and will not support the aggressor’s economy. In fact, it would be kind of sanctions,” said one of the authors of the document MP Taras Batenko.

Earlier, MPs from UKROP have registered in Parliament a draft law on imposing sectoral sanctions against Russia in banking sector.
