The MP and the member of the inter-faction union UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy has accused the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalyk in failure of the open competition results for appointing director of the state enterprise “National Energy Company “Ukrenergo”. He has written it on his Facebook page.
The MP has reminded that the winner of the competition was Sergiy Zuyev, a member of the top management of AES Corporation (USA), one of the largest energy companies in the world. Vitaliy Kupriy has noted that a well-known international company HUDSON was involved in holding the competition, as well as the other international organizations, the integrity of which is doubtless. The winner is independent of the Ukrainian oligarchs, claims the MP.
However, the contract with Sergiy Zuyev is not signed yet, and the state company for over 3 months has been unlawfully managed by an acting director. According to Vitaliy Kupriy, this happens due to the Minister of Energy Igor Nasalyk who wants to establish control over state enterprises. He was the only member of the committee on the appointment of the “Ukrenergo” director who did not support Sergiy Zuyev’s appointment. Later the Minister has involved the former Head of Crimea Prosecutor’s Office P. Kovalenko, the judge of the District Administrative Court V. Keleberda, the former director general of JSC “Zaporizhiaoblenergo” V. Nosulko and his lawyer S. Tsygarov, and has secured a court decision that blocks the appointment of the winner to this position.
“Establishing control over the “Ukrenergo” and blocking the appointment of its director is organized by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry in order to prepare the enterprise for illegal privatization. Abusing his power, Igor Nasalyk impedes the Cabinet of Ministers approval for the appointment of S. Zuyev as the winner of a fair and open competition, and causes great damage to Ukraine,” is confident Vitaliy Kupriy.
The MP has noted that such actions constitute elements of a crime under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or office). “I have sent an appeal to the law enforcement agencies and Mr. Groysman,” wrote Vitaliy Kupriy.
