PJSC “Ukrtransgas” has endangered Ukraine’s energy security, giving allowance for gas supply system diagnostics to a fly-by-night company with Russian roots. The MP from the inter-faction union UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy has stated it, commenting to the journalists of the program “Secret materials”.
According to the politician, it is referred to the tender for the repair of gas pipelines of PJSC “Ukrtransgas”, that has been recently won by the Arab company Integrity West. But the fact is that there is only one person working for the enterprise, registered in one of the business centres in Abu Dhabi, the company has no telephone or fax, and its share capital (while the contact value is more than 11 million dollars) is only $40000, said Vitaliy Kupriy. Another fact that arouses suspicion is that the official website of the company uses fake photos from other Internet resources to illustrate its activity. Moreover, Integrity West’s subcontractor, providing works on Ukrainian gas pipelines diagnostics, will be an American company with the European filial branch, registered in Russia, said the MP.
“Engaging the Russian firm through such a shell company is immoral, unpatriotic and unacceptable in our country. This is dangerous for the state’s energy independence,” said Vitaliy Kupriy. In addition, he has stressed that it is not clear how the Ukrainian gas pipeline system will be diagnosed by a company that has no experience in such work. We can assume that the management of “Ukrtransgas” had intentionally omitted this requirement from the conditions of a tender, added the MP.
Vitaliy Kupriy also does not rule out that if the Ukrainian party makes a contract for transport network service with the Russian company, in case of army actions domestic gas pipelines could be easily destroyed, and it will be a severe blow to Ukraine. “Cooperation with the aggressor country is unacceptable. And giving Ukraine’s main gas transmission network service to the Russians is a betrayal of national interests,” summed up the politician.
