Dnipro is the first among Ukrainian cities to digitalize the roads. With the help of Navizor, presented today by Mayor Boris Filatov and adviser to the minister of infrastructure Yanika Merylo, citizens will be able to assess the condition of roads and view all information about them.

Navizor, the interactive map for analyzing the road condition, has been developed by Ukrainian experts from Ivano-Frankivsk. The service is a web-version and a mobile app. Currently, Navizor maps include 480 roads that are on the balance of the city. In the near future the remaining 80 roads will be mapped. Navizor makes it possible to keep photos of different parts of roads and comment on their condition. Such evaluation ways affect the order of their renovation.

Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov urged its residents to get involved in the system. "The service will allow engaging a large number of residents of our city in road control. Each enthusiast will help monitor their condition using their own smartphone. This is very important,” said Boris Filatov at a press conference on August 8.

However, Adviser to the Minister of Infrastructure said Yanika Merylo noted she was not surprised that Dnipro was again first among the Ukrainian cities in implementing new developments. “On the one hand, the country is moving toward digitalization, on the other, Dnipro is the first city that involved in the process. We are making advance. We have roads and the audit data to understand what to do. Soon there will be more detailed certification,” she said.

The interactive map Navizor will be integrated with the electronic map of road repairs that are running to contain more information about the roads of Dnipro. It is expected that the final version of Navizor will display the road index, the type of coating, the start date and the cost of repair, the beginning and end of the land plot, name of the company that holds an asset, etc.

Recently, an interactive service titled "Open Budget" was launched in Dnipro. The volunteers were involved in project implementation which allowed minimizing the costs.
