A promo video about Dnipro, pretending to the right to host Eurovision 2017, is put on the Internet. It was posted by the Mayor Borys Filatov on his Facebook page. “Why Dnipro and no one else?” he wrote.
The video shows Dnipro’s current opportunities for holding the contest and willingness to invest 500 million hryvnias from the city budget for preparing for the main song contest in Europe. “Dnipro deserves the right to host the contest. Our city prevented separatists from moving further to the west in 2014, so the greater part of Ukraine is not affected by war. Dnipro is a space and business capital of Ukraine. Residents of the city are patriots and at the same time European minded people. We have the longest promenade in Europe and the Dnipro River that divides the city into two parts. Thousands of tourists will be glad to travel here. Dnipro waits for Eurovision!” – such arguments in favour of Dnipro are named by the authors of the promo.
It is to be recalled, today Borys Filatov will take part in the “Battle of the Cities” for Eurovision on the air of in UΛ: Pershiy. Beginning at 18.30.
